What is CBARN?

The Canadian Bio-Cleantech Applied Research Network (CBARN) is a network of four southern Ontario colleges and one university that collaborate with small and medium-sized bio-based companies to provide access to Research & Innovation services to support the development of new and optimization of existing biotechnologies that generate advanced commercialization and job growth.

Through funding from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southwestern Ontario, CBARN leverages expertise of researchers, faculty and students utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to significantly advance the bio-cleantech industry.

Mission: Providing research & development, technical and commercialization support to Southern Ontario’s small and medium-sized companies in the bio-cleantech industry.

Funding Program: Jobs and Growth Fund

The Jobs and Growth Fund provides funding to businesses and organizations to help create jobs and position local economies for long-term growth. The fund, delivered by Canada’s regional development agencies (RDAs), helps job creators and the organizations that support them to future-proof their businesses, build resiliency and prepare for growth by transitioning to a green economy, fostering an inclusive recovery, enhancing competitiveness, and creating jobs in every corner of the country.
